Subarus are quite well known for lasting a long time. My friend had a legacy with 200k, but she just replaced the engine and it was good to go. Worst comes to worst you can always replace an engine in a subaru

l would not advise buying a Subaru with over 100k miles. Depending on owner and driving conditions, they're not known to last a considerable amount of time. Only compact SUV I'd reccommend if you had to buy one with over 100k miles would be a Honda CRV.

The big problem with any vehicle that has over 100K miles on it is the maintenance history. This seems to be the point when most owners will start to slack off on maintenance, as they're thinking about replacing the vehicle soon anyway, so why spend lots of money on expensive maintenance.

While this particular car may have many more miles of safe, maintenance free driving left in it, l would be really cautious about buying any automobile with more than 150K miles on it. Try to determine if all the manufacturer is scheduled maintenance has been done, & if not, what needs to be done to be safe.

Good Luck!
